Cecil. Bar Stools. May 19th , 2018.
The rattan and bamboo are only two types of wood used in designing modern bar stools and are making a come-back with a slight retro feel. The contrast brought by bar stools makes a huge difference in the appearance comfort and function of a house. There are many things to be taken into account when you have to decide what seats you want to buy. The most important decisions are those regarding the height of the stool bar the size of the bar and the design style that you preffer,
The last feature that you may want your bar stools to have is a back rest. Back support is ideal for homes with children to ensure they have proper support and do not accidentally fall off when seated. A stool with a back rest may also feel more comfortable and natural for most as the majority of people are already accustomed to sitting in chairs with back support. Contrarily backless bar stools are more traditional in appearance and the staple for typical bar seating that you might find at a restaurant or a pub. They also encourage correct posture by forcing you to sit up right while aligning your spine. The option for a back ultimately comes down to comfort and what you are most familiar with,
"Nicer" metal bar stools typically have all-welded frames. The only bolts you may see hold the seat to the swivel mechanism and there may be a few screws holding the seat pad to the metal frame. This type of construction is far more sturdy than "RTA" stools,
Fabrics: Both wood and metal bar stools may have countless fabrics to choose from. Look for high quality fabrics that complement your home`s decor as well as a fabric that works well with the finish you have selected AND the style of the bar stool. An "Antique Tapestry" is a beautiful fabric but NOT on a silver modernized frame! Synthetic suede fabrics are very durable and easy to clean. They simulate the look and feel of suede but are far more easy to care for than cotton or other natural coverings. Some manufacturers offer the ability to use your own fabric. These are commonly referred to as "COM" or "Customer`s Own Material." If you choose to use your own fabric make sure it is an upholstery grade fabric and check with your salesperson to see how much material will be needed for each stool. Stools with backs generally require 2 yards per stool whereas backless or metal back stools generally require 1 yard per stool. If your fabric has a repeating pattern that you want to match it may be necessary to provide more fabric so the factory can match the placement of a design from one stool to the other,
One feature that is not entirely necessary but is still important to consider is height adjustment. You may find yourself wanting to use your bar stool in a different capacity which is when having height adjustment would really become beneficial. Seat height adjustment is also advantageous if you are not sure if a stationary stool will fit correctly underneath your counter. Having this feature eliminates the worry and finding exact measurements when trying to figure out the exact seat height needed to fit under certain counter heights,
